It all started with a swipe on Hinge in 2022. Our first date was on Memorial Day weekend, a round of golf at the Olympic Club. We figured we’d just play nine holes, but 18 holes later, followed by drinks in the clubhouse, neither of us wanted the day to end.

Since then, life has been an incredible adventure. We’ve spent countless days traveling (often with our golf clubs in tow), from the beaches of Punta Mita to the mountains of Truckee, the landscapes of New Zealand, and everywhere in between. In 2024, we took our biggest swing yet—buying a home together in Redwood City after years of living in San Francisco. We’re loving the warmer weather, extra space, and making our house a home.

Family has always been at the heart of our relationship. We love being an aunt and uncle to our niece and nephews, and celebrating life’s big and small moments with the people closest to us. That’s why getting married in Los Altos, Ian’s hometown, feels extra special.

At the core of it all, we love each other for the little (and big) things: Ian’s loyalty and his “more the merrier” approach to life, Christa’s passion for the people and causes she cares about, and our shared ability to find laughter in just about everything.
